24/03/2009 - Tucsonan shares high school football adventure in Japan

Josh Norman, who helped the Santa Rita High School football team reach the Arizona 4A-II state championship game last season, wrote this journal from Kawasaki, Japan, as a member of the Team Stars & Stripes 45-player all-star roster.
He wrote this journal entry before Saturday's 2009 Global Challenge Bowl. Team Japan won the exhibition game.
Josh Norman is one of eight Team Stars & Stripes players and five coaches from the Tucson area. The other players are: Maile Labor, Trevor Colvin, John Wells, Danny Sainz (all Santa Rita), Christian Ramirez (Salpointe Catholic), William Griffin and Raul Gonzalez (both Tucson). The coaches are: Head coach Jeff Scurran, DBs/WRs Andy Krause, equipment manager Jose Duran (all Santa Rita), ST/K Alan Bayze (Sabino) and strength coach Glenn Howell (Pima).
